The great outdoors.
There are numerous recreational spaces within the community.
Two, located at Manseview Terrace and Springhill Road, have play provision for children and the former also has a bike track. At Crabtree Park you’ll find the village playing fields, home of the Douglas Amateurs. This area is currently subject to a feasibility study which hopes to identify demand for improved facilities.

This space adjacent to the local school is suitable for all weather sports and is again utilised by both the Douglas Amateurs and Glenbuck Football Academy.
This area has two main components; a fenced, modern children’s play area and a BMX park. The area is stewarded by the Douglas Playpark Action Group who have aspirations to further develop the area as a focus for childrens play and recreation.
This area boasts some further play equipment but is mainly grassed and popular with dog walkers. It hosts the annual Gala Day celebrations.
